Bulgar is an ancient form of wheat popular in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean diets. Most commonly recognized as the base of the Israeli tabouleh salad. Bulgar has a nutty flavor and a firm texture, making it a great addition to salads or as an oatmeal substitute for breakfast. It can be used as a side dish mixed with vegetables in replace of rice or pasta and only takes 10-15 mins to cook. Packed with fiber, protein, B vitamins, iron and manganese, it complements healthy diets and clean eating.

Storage & Cooking Instructions

Store in an airtight container in the pantry for 3 months, in the fridge for 6 months and the freezer for up to 1 year

Cooking instructions: Combine 1.5 cups bulgar wheat and 3 cups water in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes or until tender, draining any excess water.
