Large Lima Beans (Butter Beans)



1 pound = approx. 2.5 cups

1 cup dry = 3 cups cooked

Non-GMO | Gluten-free

These are not the lima beans you grew up refusing at the dinner table. Also referred to as butter beans, these large limas are white and creamy, with less bad memories associated. They make a great main dish alongside rice or cornbread, or baked for a popular Greek dish

Storage & Cooking Instructions

Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container. Good for 2-3 years

Soak overnight. Rinse then combine 2 cups beans and 10 cups water, bring to a boil then simmer for 1-2 hours until tender.

*note – the skin will become wrinkled and start to come off, it’s entirely edible and doesn’t affect the texture of the beans. Leaving them on is recommended but they can also be removed after soaking
