Brown rice gains its health-food status because of the fact that it’s less processed than white rice. It retains the bran and germ part of the plant which gives it the added nutrients that are stripped away in white rice. Also giving it a crunchier texture when cooked. Brown rice contains many vitamins and minerals, and has especially high amounts of manganese which supports bone development, blood sugar regulation and nerve function.

Storage & Cooking Instructions

Store in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 6 months and in the fridge or freezer for up to 1 year

Cooking instructions: Rinse the rice to remove excess starch. Combine 1 cup rice with 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes until tender. Remove from heat and let sit, covered, for 10 minutes before fluffing and serving.
